Laura is a fine art photographer who is enamored with the art of capturing light, sparked by an instructor who demanded creativity above all else. Since 2010, Laura has been working to push her creative boundaries and explore new technical skills. Laura strives to create her images in camera, without adding computer generated elements.  Instead, she utilizes illusions of perspective, and photographic techniques such as long exposure, light painting, and double exposures.  While planning a photograph, she will sometimes create elaborate sets or put herself in unusual locations to achieve the desired illusion. While Laura has enjoyed the success of seeing her work displayed in galleries, winning awards in juried competitions and displaying her body of work in a solo exhibition, she proudly admits that her creative process requires mistakes and failures. She takes pride in her ability to solve problems and forge ahead, embracing the notion that failure is the mother of success.
